The Fraunhofer IGB develops and optimizes processes and products for the business sectors of health, chemicals and the process industry as well as the environment and energy. The Institute is engaged in the field of fibers and textiles with both wet-chemical synthesis of materials as well as wet and plasma-chemical processes and treatment.
Competences in the Alliance
- Modification of the volume and surface properties of fibers and textiles by means of wet- and / or plasmachemic methods, e.g. application of chemical functional groups for subsequent reactions
